From start-up to major installation company

Sunleaves was founded in 2017 by Arnout Mobertz, an entrepreneur with extensive sales experience. While working as a branch manager at a sales company, he came into conversation with an installer of solar panels. This product and the potential of the solar market immediately inspired him. He started a collaboration where he sold solar panels and had them installed by an installation expert. This collaboration soon proved successful and developed rapidly.

What started as a small business focused on solar panels soon grew into a certified installation and apprenticeship company. In addition to solar panels, Sunleaves offers a wider range of renewable energy products, including batteries, heat pumps, charging stations and air conditioners. With a focus on both business and residential customers, Sunleaves offers a complete renewable energy solution.

The challenge

At its inception, Sunleaves used several systems, including Pipedrive as its CRM, the PanaDoc platform for quotations and external software for drawing in laying plans. Although these systems initially met Sunleaves‘ business processes, over time the company began to notice that they were not supporting the growth Sunleaves aspired to. In addition, communication between the systems was not good enough, which cost the team a lot of time and created bottlenecks. This left them in need of a solution that could support their growth, where especially the link between quotations, inventory, and invoicing would run smoothly and efficiently.

The solution

Sunleaves discovered Sollit through one of their partners in the Northern Netherlands. After seeing the platform in action with them, they decided to switch to Sollit. The software significantly reduced time-consuming manual processes for Sunleaves. They gained access to several integrated modules, including CRM, quotation management, inventory management and the planning tool.  

  • The automations in the Sollit system made it possible to work faster and more efficiently.
  • Quotes are now generated at lightning speed and automatically via quotation templates
  • Stock is tracked in real-time and supported by integration with Webstock  
  • For proactive monitoring and proper functioning of the system, as well as to retain customers, they offer service plans in the form of monthly subscriptions
  • For accounting, they use the link with Exact Online
  • They also make frequent use of Sollit’s planning tool to divide their installation teams intelligently and work more efficiently.

Arnout Mobertz, Director of Sunleaves: “The biggest advantage of Sollit is the significant time savings for our team. Previously, our installers would take photos on-site which they then had to append or email to the office, after which everything had to be put into the computer manually. Now we use the Sollit app, which records everything directly in one environment. This saves us a lot of administrative work and prevents us from having to hire extra staff to take this on.”

The results

Since working with Sollit, Sunleaves has been able to fully focus on its core business without getting bogged down in red tape. Thanks to the efficiency improvements, the team now saves a huge amount of time, allowing them to better serve their customers, take on more projects and have been able to expand their product range.
Arnout stresses: “With Sollit, we have not only improved our processes but also optimised our customer management. The system gives us flexibility to respond quickly to the demand for sustainable solutions, and we see that reflected in our customer satisfaction.”
