Who are you and what is your role at Sollit?
I am Liza, 42 years old. Born in the Netherlands, grew up in the Caribbean: Isla de Margarita, Venezuela. At 21 years, I went back to the Netherlands and lived there for 12 years. Now I live in Malaga with my lovely little family. I am part of Sollit since October 2025 and work remotely from the south of Spain. In Sollit I wear 2 hats: For Spain I am Country Lead Sales & Solutions, and for the Dutch Market: I am an Account Manager for smaller accounts.
How has your role evolved since you started?
In just a couple of months, I evolved quickly and learned the ins and outs of Sollit really fast. This pace is inherent to the sector that we work in: Renewables is a fast-moving sector in which you need to constantly adapt and keep learning to be up to date with the newest trends and news. Working in SaaS means that there is no same day and that there is never a dull moment! It's a hands-on job and you just adapt to situations where being a team player is essential. Although the fact that Sollit entered the Spanish market since a couple of years now, the renewables industry was hit hard by different factors as was the war in Ukraine a.o.
2026 is evolving positively, and that means that basically we have a white canvas to do things and reinvent how Sollit positions itself in the Iberian Peninsula and that is very exciting.
You have worked in the Market for longer, what makes working at Sollit special to you?
The market and the sector that I have been working in for 6 years now is the most volatile and unpredictable I have experienced, yet I wouldn't change it for other sectors. Sounds cheesy, but yes, I love to participate in a sector that evolves around sustainability and making an impact. We are one hard-working community with the same goal: a better and healthier planet for the next generations.
Being able to generate and store your own electricity makes people resilience and independent in case of an emergency. We learned this first hand in Spain the 28th of April 2025. I learned that day that humanity fully depends on the electricity grid, internet and mobile network connection, and that we are very vulnerable when none of that is available. That impressed me deeply.
Combining this passion with my love for SaaS and tech in general, is what makes my job at Sollit a unique combination of the best of two worlds and that energizes, drives and motivates me day by day. Next to this, the group of people that form the Sollit team is a very special one. Colleagues are always ready to help and teach whether you need it, and despite working at 2500 Km from the Zwolle office, the distance isn't notable at all. I have such great communication with the team, that it feels like I am at the office every day.
What does the value “A Deal is a Deal” mean to you in practice?
For me, it's all about building trust by being transparent. Not only with customers, but also with colleagues. If someone commits something, I will trust that. This should also be expected from me to them. It's about doing what you say you will do and expecting someone to take responsibility for their promises. It's about honoring your words.
What are you most proud of about Sollit?
Without a doubt, the Team. Each individual at Sollit is unique with unique skills and qualities. People at Sollit are creative, kind, warm, and overall collaborative. We inspire each other constantly and everyone is always available to help no matter how high the workload is. The philosophy is simple: if you grow, we grow.
